No headersDr. Mohammad Al-Ubaydli and Epocrates are pleased to provide annual Ali Abdulla Al-Ubaydli Scholarships for Mobile Medical Computing. Every year we award $5000 of Ali Abdulla Al-Ubaydli™ Scholarships for Mobile Medical Computing™ to select and train the next generation of mobile medical computing researchers.
We offer two different kinds of awards. The first kind is only open to US citizens, or to non-US citizens who are currently living in the USA. Click here to read about the criteria and application process for that kind of scholarship.
The second kind is open to applicants from all over the world[1] and we have around 60 of these each year starting from January 1st 2009. Each award recipient gets the following:
- A publication in the journal Mobile Medical Computing Reviews.
- Access to the Mobile Medical Computing Scholar group to network with other award winners from around the world.
- Mentoring by Dr. Mohammad Al-Ubaydli. Dr. Al-Ubaydli founded the Scholarships and wrote six books, including Handhelds Computers for Doctors and The Doctor's PDA and Smartphone Handbook.
- A payment of $50 for each review that is published in the journal.
To receive the award you need to do the following:
- Register a free account with us if you have not already done so.
- Read our example reviews to learn what we need your paper writing to look like.
- Check the list of new papers that need reviewing. We update these monthly as they arrive in PubMed.
- Write a review for any of the papers that you like.
- Wait for us to look at your hosting review.
- If your review is of a high enough standard, we will publish it in the journal. If it needs revisions, we will send you feedback.
As soon as your review is accepted you become an official Scholar. You can meet other Scholars, have mentoring by Dr. Al-Ubaydli and get your $50 payment.
